Should we spend or should we save?
April 13, 2015 at 11:18 PM
Recently I have come across some families, who some time ago made the decision to spend their sizable income on renovating their homes. I'm the first to admit I admired what they had done to improve the flow of their houses and their homes look great. The only down side with this is as the economy has turned unfavourable they have been forced into the situation of having to work more and stress about having little spare money for out-of-the blue expenses.
I wonder if they would have done the renovations differently or held off on those renovations if they had known the economy was going to change like it has? With our financial planning course and tutoring we are able to help families to plan for any economic climate so that they do not find themselves in the situation with no time to enjoy their house and/or even at risk of loosing their lovely home all because they didn't have money saved to pay for those unexpected expenses or tax burdens.
Should there be a value put on having little or no financial stress in one's life? If so then becoming financially saavy is worth every penny.
