Action

Thankfully I had the good sense to act.  Over ten years ago I had read all the books about investing (my favourite book was “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” by Robert Kiyosaki).  But what the books do not make you do is “ACT” on what you have read and researched.  Even though I was scared and worried about making mistakes, I now had the knowledge and tools to go down the track of investing so the most sensible thing to do was go out and buy my first investment property (this was the investment vehicle I had researched and studied at the time).  But my biggest challenge was to “Just do it”.

Now ten years on I look back and happily announce that I did invest in that first property and several more once I got the hang of rental property investment.  Although the properties do not make a significant passive income (as I reinvest much of the surplus back into improving the properties) and there have been times of stress where the tenancies haven’t been “plain sailing”, but I have made financial, personal growth, and monetary educational gains.  Well worth the process and experience I have gained.

Rental property investment may not be for you but educating yourself on investing and Acting on your education by investing should be for you.  So feel the fear and do it anyway.
